Identify cookies

As a webmaster you have the task to idenfy and cataloging the cookies we use.

It is your client who decides whether or not to use certain processing targets such as analytical, personalized ...

I received a notification of non-compliant cookie

This means that cookies are found on the website where you are referred to as webmaster:

  • enabled by default and are not essential cookies,
  • or that are not yet included in the inventory cookie

As a webmaster, it is your job to keep them up to date.

TIP: Be aware that when you use some plugins often cookies are being activated, always check it after changing the website.

How do I find the inventory

  1. Log on Co-Dex.eu
  2. Select the links right now
  3. On the dashboard, go to "Change assessment" the site assessment and choose the right
  4. Go left to the "Cookies"

Attributes of a cookie

  1. Cookie identifier: the fully qualified name of the cookie
  2. Name: The name of the cookie
  3. Domain: ".domeinnaam" What is the domain where the cookie is linked
  4. Owner: it is a private or third aprtij cookie
  5. Processing Purpose: what is the purpose of this cookie
  6. Functionality: to explain what is a cookie
  7. Retention period: how long the cookie is tracked
  8. Discrepancies there anomalies were detected since the last scan of the cookie

In cases of a third party, so do not own a cookie, you should also make an inventory of the third party to complement

  1. Domain: domain suffix of the third party (how is this apparent in the fully qualified name cookie)
  2. Third party: if the controller or controller as a third party
  3. Third party privacy policy URL: link to the publication of the third party

New cookie

  1. Add new cookies: Click "Add" and a new entry is added to the bottom of the list
  2. Fill in the details

Is it a new third party?

  1. Write down a third party by clicking on "Add"
  2. Enter the domain of third party eg. ".Google.com"
  3. Enter the name of the third party, eg. "Google"
  4. Enter the link to the privacy policy of the third party, for example. "Https://policies.google.com/privacy"

Are you ready to add

  • Click "Save"
